Brad Wilby lived his life demonstrating passion for sport and compassion for others. An athlete his entire life, he died suddenly at age 25 from an undiagnosed and little understood condition to which teenagers and young adults are particularly vulnerable. The condition, Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia, is commonly known as ARVD.
The mission of this foundation is to promote the development of character and leadership through sport and to recognize athletes who have demonstrated strength of character, good sportsmanship, and leadership skills both on and off the field, in the classroom, and in the community. In addition, the foundation promotes awareness of cardiac disease.
